She remarks that today is her mother’s birthday so she’s having a pity party. She didn’t pass recently but was only around Callie’s age at the time her mom had a heart attack. Kathleen expects the worst and is only surprised when it doesn’t happen. Callie sympathizes as she lost her mother in a car accident when she was ten.
